A busy day... yeap 2day is a busy for me too...hahaha...although is busy but then i enjoy it, it is because i had spent my whole day in a very meaningful way....yeah....
this morning i wake up around 7sumthing... then sy came over to my house fetch me to her house...cause she asking for my help to do sandwich which we want to prepare for the old folk, help her to make the sandwich and cook barley...
we finished prepare all the foods and drinks around 11am then rush back to ci yun for our 2nd leadership camp meeting... glad that all of the committees attend the meeting and only 2 of the committees were not in kuching absent only....
after our meetings we went to the lions nursing house...while we arrived there we need to wait for sister lim for almost 1/2hour...what really take her so long from her house to the place she work? i though she supposedly stayed there to wait for us (cause we did write her a letter and telling her that on when, around what time we will visit them). After a "short" wait for her, finally we saw her "庐山真面目" and she invite all of us go into a conference room and give us a short talk. Well according to sister Lim... the 90% of the old folk there are sick most of them get diabetics, Sister Lim told us that the old folk which stay at there is not that because of their family or their loved one don't wan to take care of them anymore...is because of their age are over 80's, 90's and some already reach they age 100's, when they reach this age definitely their own children won't be that young and they themselves also need some one to take care of them...so maybe because of this their grand children send them to the lions nursing home which is fully nursing, with trained/registered/professional nurse give them the professional nursing services like injection, tube feeding, help them to bath and so on...so that there have some one others can take care of them. Sister Lim also told us that if their family members didn't come over to visit them in 2weeks time they will keep calling them and ask them to come over...they encourage them to come often visit the old folk, they needs love/cares by their family...in the Lions nursing house, there are 56beds but then all of the bed are occupied...
after that, Sister Lim brought us to their kitchen and we get our foods and drinks prepared there...after that we been divided into 2groups which half of us go over to the female place, and another half go over to the male place... what we had seen is some of them are very healthy... but then lots of them are sick...even cannot wake up just can lay on the bed and waiting for people to feed them... when i saw them it remind me of my grandma again...and i also get the chance to feed one of the old folk feed them the sandwich and the drinks...at that moment i feel that i am really lucky and glad that when my grandma still alive i had the chance to have such close movement with her...we did sang few old songs to them, like 甜蜜蜜，小城故事，朋友 to them and they are very touching even some of them start crying there...and keep asking us to go over to visit them next time...
although is a holiday every one enjoy it spend their time with their friends, shopping around, watch movies...but then although it is a busy holiday and a totally different holiday for me ... and i do enjoy the things that i had did for this whole day...a charity work you will really enjoy it and feel happy when u do get yourself on it....
